Pakistan Won the ICC T20 Worldcup

The runner up team Pakistan of the 1st worldcup Pakistan has won the worldcup this time. Pakistan starts the series with continuously losing the match and won only those matches where there was no chances to go for the next round. In the Pool match Pakistan won from Netherland after losing from England. In the Super 8 round, after losing from Sri Lanka, Yasir Arafat becomes unfit. Pakistan team then calls the Abdul Razzaq in replacement of Yasir Arafat and then Pakistan Team fired in each match of the worldcup. They won from Newzealand and Ireland in the Super 8 round and qualified in the semi-final.

In the semi-final Pakistan has to face the unbeaten team throughout the tournament. i.e., South Africa. Pakistan has also loosed from South Africa in the Warm up mathces. But this time the situation was different. Pakistan won from the unbeaten south Africa and qualify for the final match.

In the Final Pakistan has to face Sri Lanka who was also unbeaten throughout the tournament. Pakistan has also loosed from Sri Lanka in the Super 8 round. But this team Sri Lanka team was no where in front of Pakistan Bowling. Sri Lanka loosed early wickets and was continuously loosing the wickets. Aamer struck 1 and Abdul Razzaq struck three wickets in his first 6 overs that turned the match. Then the Sangakara and Mathews helped their team to get a total of 138/6 in 20 overs.

Pakistan opens the face of the bat nicely. All the players were playing with confidence and with proper planning. Finally Afridi helped Pakistan to get a total of 139 and Pakistan won the match within 18.4 overs.

Afridi was declared Man of the Match and Dilshan from Sri Lanka was declared Man of the Series.

Celebration starts all over the world in USA, UK, Pakistan from the Pakistani Fans. This was a real joyful moment for the Pakistan nation who is surviving with the terrorist attacks in different cities of Pakistan and in tribal areas the armed forces are fighting against these terrorist.

20 paisa Tax removed from SMS

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has agreed to give a 20-percent salary raise to government employees, sources in the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said on Friday. During a meeting with an MQM delegation led by Overseas Pakistanis’ Minister Farooq Sattar, the prime minister is also said to have agreed to a 20-percent raise in pensions and the withdrawal of a 20-paisa tax on the short messaging service (SMS), sources said. They said the prime minister had also assured the delegation that the subsidy on electricity would be abolished in phases. Gilani hoped that the measures taken in the budget 2009-10 would provide relief to the people. Finance Adviser Shaukat Tareen and State Minister for Finance Hina Rabbani Khar were also present on the occasion.

Hyperstar Pakistan - Carrefour Pakistan has started its Operations

Carrefour, the Second largest retailor in the world after the Wal-Mart, has started its operations is Pakistan. Carrefour is working under the Majid Al-Futtaim Group who is a leading group in Retail, Property, Asset Management in UAE.

Carrefour has changed its name to HYPERSTAR Pakistan and has opened its first store at Fortress Stadium, Lahore. Carrefour was the first one who introduced the concept of Hyper Market in the world, may be that's why they have changed its name to Hyperstar. Carrefour is the first hypermarket operator in Pakistan.

The Hyperstar is in operation after opening its first store on 13 May, 2009 and have plans to open ten stores in the coming five years in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad.
